Natalya's Playtime

Natalya's favorite place to be when she is awake is her baby gym. She loves to lie on her back, swat at the ball, and listen to it jingle. She also does her tummy time here, which she rather detests. I guess I would be unhappy too, if someone expected me to "play" in push-up position. Her head and neck control is increasing, so it is worth it, I tell her. 

She has her 4-month well-baby exam tomorrow and I am dying to see what she weighs. My guess is 13lbs 8oz- we'll see how close I am. Put your bets in now, and I will let you know who is closest in tomorrows post.

Matthew Has a Cold

Although you can't tell by these pictures, Matthew isn't feeling well today. He has a cold. I am constantly amazed at how resilient kids are. Even when he isn't feeling his best, Matthew makes the most of each day and doesn't let anything get him down. I think we can all learn something from that. It seems that as we get older, we find more and more reasons to feel sorry for ourselves and let circumstances highjack our happiness. He said to me this morning, "Mommy, I have to wash my hands a lot today and be really careful that I don't get baby sister sick." What a dollface. I love this kid!!!

My New Family Blog

I am excited to start this blog about my family and share with everyone our wonderful stories. I have been meaning to get this going for a while now, but "better late than never" right!?!  I got the idea from a friend, Erin Rychlinski, and would like to express my gratitude to her because I know that this blog will be a joyous way for me to relive the many happy moments I experience being a "wife" and mother.
